बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-24, verse-108

भाग्येशो व्ययभावस्थो भाग्यहानिकरो नृणाम् ।
शुभकार्ये व्ययो नित्यं निर्धनोऽतिथिसङ्गमात् ॥१०८॥
108. bhāgyeśo vyayabhāvastho bhāgyahānikaro nṛṇām .

108. If the lord of the house of fortune (bhāgya) is situated in the twelfth house (the house of loss or expenditure), it causes a reduction in fortune for people. There is constant expenditure on auspicious activities, and the native becomes poor due to interacting with guests.
