महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-8, verse-60

स तु क्रोधसमाविष्टो द्रोणपुत्रो महाबलः ।
शिखण्डिनं समासाद्य द्विधा चिच्छेद सोऽसिना ॥६०॥
60. sa tu krodhasamāviṣṭo droṇaputro mahābalaḥ ,
śikhaṇḍinaṁ samāsādya dvidhā ciccheda so'sinā.

60. But that extremely powerful son of Drona (Ashwatthaman), overcome with intense anger, approached Shikhaṇḍī and cut him into two with his sword.
