महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-8, verse-122

संवेष्टमानानुद्विग्नान्निरुत्साहान्सहस्रशः ।
न्यपातयन्नरान्क्रुद्धः पशून्पशुपतिर्यथा ॥१२२॥
122. saṁveṣṭamānānudvignānnirutsāhānsahasraśaḥ ,
nyapātayannarānkruddhaḥ paśūnpaśupatiryathā.

nyapātayat narān kruddhaḥ paśūn paśupatiḥ yathā
122. kruddhaḥ paśupatiḥ yathā paśūn (felled),
(tatha) sahasraśaḥ saṃveṣṭamānān udvignān nirutsāhān narān nyapātayat
122. The enraged one felled thousands of men who were rolling, agitated, and devoid of enthusiasm, just as the lord of animals (Paśupati) [destroys] animals.
