यत्कृतं नः प्रसुप्तानां रक्षोभिः क्रूरकर्मभिः ।
असांनिध्याद्धि पार्थानामिदं नः कदनं कृतम् ॥११६॥

116. yat naḥ prasuptānām krūrakarmabhiḥ rakṣobhiḥ kṛtam,

116. What was inflicted upon us while we were asleep, as if by cruel-acting Rākṣasas — this slaughter was indeed wrought upon us due to the absence of the Pārthas.
