महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-8, verse-47

भारद्वाजस्तु तान्दृष्ट्वा शरवर्षाणि वर्षतः ।
ननाद बलवन्नादं जिघांसुस्तान्सुदुर्जयान् ॥४७॥
47. bhāradvājastu tāndṛṣṭvā śaravarṣāṇi varṣataḥ ,
nanāda balavannādaṁ jighāṁsustānsudurjayān.

| nanāda balavat nādam jighāṃsuḥ tān sudurjayān
47. tu bhāradvājaḥ tān शरवर्षाणि वर्षतः दृष्ट्वा,
तान् सुदुर्जयान् जिघांसुः बलवत् नादम् ननाद
47. But Bhāradvāja (Droṇa), seeing them raining volleys of arrows, roared a mighty roar, desiring to kill those who were very difficult to conquer.
