महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-8, verse-39

योधानश्वान्द्विपांश्चैव प्राच्छिनत्स वरासिना ।
रुधिरोक्षितसर्वाङ्गः कालसृष्ट इवान्तकः ॥३९॥
39. yodhānaśvāndvipāṁścaiva prācchinatsa varāsinā ,
rudhirokṣitasarvāṅgaḥ kālasṛṣṭa ivāntakaḥ.
39. yodhān aśvān dvipān ca eva prācchinat saḥ vara-asinā
rudhira-ukṣita-sarva-aṅgaḥ kāla-sṛṣṭaḥ iva antakaḥ

iva vara-asinā yodhān aśvān dvipān ca eva prācchinat
39. With his excellent sword, he cut down warriors, horses, and elephants. His entire body was drenched in blood, as if he were Antaka (the Destroyer) manifested by Kāla (Time/Death).
