महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-8, verse-132

मेदोमज्जास्थिरक्तानां वसानां च भृशाशिताः ।
परमांसानि खादन्तः क्रव्यादा मांसजीविनः ॥१३२॥
132. medomajjāsthiraktānāṁ vasānāṁ ca bhṛśāśitāḥ ,
paramāṁsāni khādantaḥ kravyādā māṁsajīvinaḥ.
