He who, according to his ability (śakti), does not neglect these five great Vedic rituals (mahāyajñāḥ), even while living constantly (nityaṃ) in a household (gr̥he), is not tainted by the sins (doṣaiḥ) arising from a slaughterhouse (sūnā).
