मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-3, verse-266

हविर्यच्चिररात्राय यच्चानन्त्याय कल्पते ।
पितृभ्यो विधिवद दत्तं तत प्रवक्ष्याम्यशेषतः ॥२६६॥
266. haviryaccirarātrāya yaccānantyāya kalpate ,
pitṛbhyo vidhivad dattaṁ tat pravakṣyāmyaśeṣataḥ.
266. haviḥ yat cirarātrāya yat ca anantyāya kalapate
pitṛbhyaḥ vidhivat dattam tat pravakṣyāmi aśeṣataḥ
266. I shall now describe in full detail what kind of oblation (haviḥ) is appropriate for a long night (cira-rātrāya) and what is appropriate for eternity (anantyāya), and what is given to the ancestors (pitṛbhyaḥ) according to the prescribed method.
