मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-3, verse-285

विघसाशी भवेन्नित्यं नित्यं वाऽमृतभोजनः ।
विघसो भुक्तशेषं तु यज्ञशेषं तथाऽमृतम ॥२८५॥
285. vighasāśī bhavennityaṁ nityaṁ vā'mṛtabhojanaḥ ,
vighaso bhuktaśeṣaṁ tu yajñaśeṣaṁ tathā'mṛtam.

285. One should always subsist on remnants of offerings (vighasa) or always partake of pure food (amrita-bhojana). Remnants of food (vighasa) are what is left after feeding others, and remnants of Vedic ritual (yajña-śeṣa) are also considered pure (amrita).
