मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-3, verse-252

स्वधाऽस्त्वित्येव तं ब्रूयुर्ब्राह्मणास्तदनन्तरम ।
स्वधाकारः परा ह्याषीः सर्वेषु पितृकर्मसु ॥२५२॥
252. svadhā'stvityeva taṁ brūyurbrāhmaṇāstadanantaram ,
svadhākāraḥ parā hyāṣīḥ sarveṣu pitṛkarmasu.

252. tadanantaram brāhmaṇāḥ evaṃ svadhā astu iti taṃ
brūyuḥ svadhākāraḥ hi sarveṣu pitṛkarmaṣu parā āṣīḥ
252. After that, the Brahmins should say to him, 'Let there be svadhā (an offering formula for ancestors)'. Indeed, the act of saying 'svadhā' is the highest blessing in all rites for the ancestors.
