मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-3, verse-283

यदेव तर्पयत्यद्भिः पितॄन स्नात्वा द्विजोत्तमः ।
तेनैव कृत्स्नमाप्नोति पितृयज्ञक्रियाफलम ॥२८३॥
283. yadeva tarpayatyadbhiḥ pitṝn snātvā dvijottamaḥ ,
tenaiva kṛtsnamāpnoti pitṛyajñakriyāphalam.

| tenaiva kṛtsnam āpnoti pitṛyajñakriyāphalam
283. Whatever he satisfies the ancestors (pitṛ) with water after bathing, by that alone, the best among the twice-born (dvijottama), he obtains the fruit of the ancestral Vedic ritual (pitṛyajña) actions.
