मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-3, verse-257

मुन्यन्नानि पयः सोमो मांसं यच्चानुपस्कृतम ।
अक्सारलवणं चैव प्रकृत्या हविरुच्यते ॥२५७॥
257. munyannāni payaḥ somo māṁsaṁ yaccānupaskṛtam ,
aksāralavaṇaṁ caiva prakṛtyā havirucyate.

akṣāralavaṇaṃ caiva prakṛtyā havir ucyate

257. The food of sages, milk, soma, unprocessed meat, and that which is without salt or alkali, are naturally considered offerings (havis).
