मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-3, verse-217

आचम्यौदक्परावृत्य त्रिरायम्य शनैरसून ।
षड ऋतूंश्च नमस्कुर्यात पितॄनेव च मन्त्रवत ॥२१७॥
217. ācamyaudakparāvṛtya trirāyamya śanairasūn ,
ṣaḍ ṛtūṁśca namaskuryāt pitṝneva ca mantravat.

ṣaḍ ṛtūṃś ca namaskuryāt pitṛn eva ca mantravat
217. After sipping water and turning towards the north, having restrained the breath three times, and then slowly the life-breaths, one should offer salutations to the six seasons and the ancestors (pitṛ), following the prescribed procedure with mantras.
