मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-3, verse-201

ऋषिभ्यः पितरो जाताः पितृभ्यो देवमानवाः ।
देवेभ्यस्तु जगत सर्वं चरं स्थाण्वनुपूर्वशः ॥२०१॥
201. ṛṣibhyaḥ pitaro jātāḥ pitṛbhyo devamānavāḥ ,
devebhyastu jagat sarvaṁ caraṁ sthāṇvanupūrvaśaḥ.
201. ṛṣibhyaḥ pitaraḥ jātāḥ pitṛbhyaḥ devadānavāḥ
devebhyaḥ tu jagat sarvam caram sthāṇu anupūrvaśaḥ
201. From the seers, the fathers were born; from the fathers, the gods and humans. From the gods, indeed, the entire moving and non-moving universe, in succession.
