मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-3, verse-284

वसून वदन्ति तु पितॄन रुद्रांश्चैव पितामहान ।
प्रपितामहांस्तथाऽदित्यान श्रुतिरेषा सनातनी ॥२८४॥
284. vasūn vadanti tu pitṝn rudrāṁścaiva pitāmahān ,
prapitāmahāṁstathā'dityān śrutireṣā sanātanī.
284. vasūn vadanti tu pitṛn rudrāṃś caiva pitāmahān |
prapitāmahāṃs tathā ’dityān śrutir eṣā sanatana
284. They say that the Vasus are the ancestors (pitṛ), the Rudras are the grandfathers (pitāmaha), and the Adityas are the great-grandfathers (prapitāmaha). This is a sanatana (eternal) śruti (Vedic text/hearing).
