मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-3, verse-175

तौ तु जातौ परक्षेत्रे प्राणिनौ प्रेत्य चैह च ।
दत्तानि हव्यकव्यानि नाशयन्ति प्रदायिनाम ॥१७५॥
175. tau tu jātau parakṣetre prāṇinau pretya caiha ca ,
dattāni havyakavyāni nāśayanti pradāyinām.

175. Those two, born on another's field (i.e., from another's seed), both in this life and after death, destroy the offerings of food and libations for those who give them.
