मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-2, verse-64

मेखलामजिनं दण्डमुपवीतं कमण्डलुम ।
अप्सु प्रास्य विनष्टानि गृह्णीतान्यानि मन्त्रवत ॥६४॥
64. mekhalāmajinaṁ daṇḍamupavītaṁ kamaṇḍalum ,
apsu prāsya vinaṣṭāni gṛhṇītānyāni mantravat.
64. mekhalām ajinam daṇḍam upavītam kamaṇḍalum
apsu prāsya vinaṣṭāni gṛhṇīta anyāni mantravat
64. Having thrown the ruined girdle, deerskin, staff, sacred thread, and water pot into the waters, one should obtain new ones with appropriate sacred formulas (mantra).
