मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-2, verse-111

अधर्मेण च यः प्राह यश्चाधर्मेण पृच्छति ।
तयोरन्यतरः प्रैति विद्वेषं वाऽधिगच्छति ॥१११॥
111. adharmeṇa ca yaḥ prāha yaścādharmeṇa pṛcchati ,
tayoranyataraḥ praiti vidveṣaṁ vā'dhigacchati.

tayoḥ anyataraḥ praiti vidveṣam vā adhigacchati
111. ca yaḥ adharmeṇa prāha yaḥ ca adharmeṇa pṛcchati
tayoḥ anyataraḥ praiti vā vidveṣam adhigacchati
111. And he who speaks contrary to natural law (dharma), and he who asks contrary to natural law (dharma)—of those two, one surely perishes, or incurs animosity.
