महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-97

गण्डकीं तु समासाद्य सर्वतीर्थजलोद्भवाम् ।
वाजपेयमवाप्नोति सूर्यलोकं च गच्छति ॥९७॥
97. gaṇḍakīṁ tu samāsādya sarvatīrthajalodbhavām ,
vājapeyamavāpnoti sūryalokaṁ ca gacchati.

vājapeyam avāpnoti sūrya-lokam ca gacchati
97. tu sarva-tīrtha-jala-udbhavām gaṇḍakīm samāsādya

97. By reaching the Gaṇḍakī (river), which originates from the waters of all sacred places, one attains the merit of the Vājapeya (Vedic ritual) and ascends to the solar realm.
