महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-56

अभिषेककृतस्तत्र नियतो नियताशनः ।
गवामयस्य यज्ञस्य फलं प्राप्नोति भारत ।
पुनात्यासप्तमं चैव कुलं भरतसत्तम ॥५६॥
56. abhiṣekakṛtastatra niyato niyatāśanaḥ ,
gavāmayasya yajñasya phalaṁ prāpnoti bhārata ,
punātyāsaptamaṁ caiva kulaṁ bharatasattama.

56. O Bhārata, a person who has performed an ablution there, being self-controlled and eating sparingly, attains the fruit of the Gavāmayana (Vedic ritual). And indeed, O best of the Bhāratas, he purifies his family up to the seventh generation.
