महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-119

निश्चीरां च समासाद्य त्रिषु लोकेषु विश्रुताम् ।
अश्वमेधमवाप्नोति विष्णुलोकं च गच्छति ॥११९॥
119. niścīrāṁ ca samāsādya triṣu lokeṣu viśrutām ,
aśvamedhamavāpnoti viṣṇulokaṁ ca gacchati.
119. niścirām ca samāsādya triṣu lokeṣu viśrutām
aśvamedham avāpnoti viṣṇulokam ca gacchati
119. And having reached the Niścirā, which is renowned throughout the three worlds, one attains the merit of the horse sacrifice (aśvamedha) and goes to the abode of Viṣṇu (viṣṇuloka).
