महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-5

ततो हि सा सरिच्छ्रेष्ठा नदीनामुत्तमा नदी ।
प्लक्षाद्देवी स्रुता राजन्महापुण्या सरस्वती ॥५॥
5. tato hi sā saricchreṣṭhā nadīnāmuttamā nadī ,
plakṣāddevī srutā rājanmahāpuṇyā sarasvatī.
5. tataḥ hi sā sarit śreṣṭhā nadīnām uttamā nadī
plakṣāt devī srutā rājan mahāpuṇyā sarasvatī
5. Then, indeed, O King, that Sarasvatī, the supreme river, the best among rivers, the divine one of great sanctity, flowed forth from Plakṣa.
