महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-59

सरस्वतीं समासाद्य तर्पयेत्पितृदेवताः ।
सारस्वतेषु लोकेषु मोदते नात्र संशयः ॥५९॥
59. sarasvatīṁ samāsādya tarpayetpitṛdevatāḥ ,
sārasvateṣu lokeṣu modate nātra saṁśayaḥ.

59. Having approached the Sarasvatī river, one should offer oblations to the ancestors (pitṛ) and deities (deva). Such a person rejoices in the worlds associated with Sarasvatī; there is no doubt about this.
