महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-21

देव्यास्तु दक्षिणार्धेन रथावर्तो नराधिप ।
तत्रारोहेत धर्मज्ञ श्रद्दधानो जितेन्द्रियः ।
महादेवप्रसादाद्धि गच्छेत परमां गतिम् ॥२१॥
21. devyāstu dakṣiṇārdhena rathāvarto narādhipa ,
tatrāroheta dharmajña śraddadhāno jitendriyaḥ ,
mahādevaprasādāddhi gaccheta paramāṁ gatim.
21. devyāḥ tu dakṣiṇārdhena rathāvartaḥ
narādhipa tatra āroheta dharmajña
śraddadhānaḥ jitendriyaḥ
mahādevaprasādāt hi gacchet parām gatim
21. On the southern side of the Goddess's shrine, O king (narādhipa), is the sacred spot known as Rathāvarta. A person who understands natural law (dharma), possesses deep faith (śraddhā), and has controlled their senses (jitendriya) should ascend there. Indeed, by the grace of Mahādeva, they would attain the supreme destination.
