महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-108

तत्रोदपानो धर्मज्ञ सर्वपापप्रमोचनः ।
समुद्रास्तत्र चत्वारः कूपे संनिहिताः सदा ।
तत्रोपस्पृश्य राजेन्द्र न दुर्गतिमवाप्नुयात् ॥१०८॥
108. tatrodapāno dharmajña sarvapāpapramocanaḥ ,
samudrāstatra catvāraḥ kūpe saṁnihitāḥ sadā ,
tatropaspṛśya rājendra na durgatimavāpnuyāt.

108. O knower of natural law (dharma), there is a well there that liberates one from all sins. The four oceans are always present within that well. O king of kings, having bathed there, one would certainly not reach an unfortunate state (durgati).
