ततो गच्छेत धर्मज्ञ धर्मतीर्थं पुरातनम् ।
तत्र स्नात्वा नरो राजन्धर्मशीलः समाहितः ।
आसप्तमं कुलं राजन्पुनीते नात्र संशयः ॥१॥

Pulastya said: 'O knower of natural law (dharmajña), one should then go to the ancient sacred place (tīrtha) of natural law (dharma). O King, a man who, having bathed there, is of a righteous disposition (dharmaśīla) and composed, purifies his lineage up to the seventh generation. There is no doubt about this.'
