महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-130

यत्र स्नात्वा कृतार्थोऽस्मीत्यात्मानमवगच्छति ।
षष्ठकालोपवासेन मुच्यते ब्रह्महत्यया ॥१३०॥
130. yatra snātvā kṛtārtho'smītyātmānamavagacchati ,
ṣaṣṭhakālopavāsena mucyate brahmahatyayā.

ṣaṣṭhakālopavāsena mucyate brahmahatyayā
130. Where one bathes and realizes within oneself (ātman), 'I am fulfilled,' one is liberated from the sin of killing a brahmin (brahmahatyā) by observing a fast for the sixth period.
