महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-134

नन्दिन्यां च समासाद्य कूपं त्रिदशसेवितम् ।
नरमेधस्य यत्पुण्यं तत्प्राप्नोति कुरूद्वह ॥१३४॥
134. nandinyāṁ ca samāsādya kūpaṁ tridaśasevitam ,
naramedhasya yatpuṇyaṁ tatprāpnoti kurūdvaha.

naramedhasya yat puṇyam tat prāpnoti kurūdvaha
134. O foremost of Kurus, by reaching the well frequented by the gods in Nandini, one attains the merit equivalent to that of a human sacrifice.
