महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-72

तत्राक्षयवटो नाम त्रिषु लोकेषु विश्रुतः ।
पितॄणां तत्र वै दत्तमक्षयं भवति प्रभो ॥७२॥

72. tatrākṣayavaṭo nāma triṣu lokeṣu viśrutaḥ ,
pitṝṇāṁ tatra vai dattamakṣayaṁ bhavati prabho.

pitṝṇām tatra vai dattam akṣayam bhavati prabho

72. There, O Lord, is the renowned Akṣaya-vaṭa (imperishable banyan tree), famous throughout the three worlds. Whatever is offered there to the ancestors (pitṛ) indeed becomes everlasting.

72. שם נמצא עץ הבניאן הנקרא אַקְשַׁיַוַטַה (בלתי נכחד), הידוע בשלושת העולמות. הו אדון, כל מה שנותנים שם לאבות נעשה בלתי נכחד.
