महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-10

त्रिशूलखातं तत्रैव तीर्थमासाद्य भारत ।
तत्राभिषेकं कुर्वीत पितृदेवार्चने रतः ।
गाणपत्यं स लभते देहं त्यक्त्वा न संशयः ॥१०॥
10. triśūlakhātaṁ tatraiva tīrthamāsādya bhārata ,
tatrābhiṣekaṁ kurvīta pitṛdevārcane rataḥ ,
gāṇapatyaṁ sa labhate dehaṁ tyaktvā na saṁśayaḥ.
10. triśūlakhātam tatra eva tīrtham
āsādya bhārata tatra abhiṣekam kurvīta
pitṛdevarcane rataḥ gāṇapatyam
saḥ labhate deham tyaktvā na saṃśayaḥ
10. O Bhārata, having reached that very sacred bathing place (tīrtha) dug by a trident, one who is dedicated to the worship of ancestors and gods should perform an ablution there. Without a doubt, by abandoning the body, he attains the state of being an attendant of Gaṇeśa.
