महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-37

अरुन्धतीवटं गच्छेत्तीर्थसेवी नराधिप ।
सामुद्रकमुपस्पृश्य त्रिरात्रोपोषितो नरः ।
गोसहस्रफलं विन्देत्कुलं चैव समुद्धरेत् ॥३७॥
37. arundhatīvaṭaṁ gacchettīrthasevī narādhipa ,
sāmudrakamupaspṛśya trirātropoṣito naraḥ ,
gosahasraphalaṁ vindetkulaṁ caiva samuddharet.

37. O king (narādhipa), a pilgrim (tīrthasevī) should visit Arundhatīvaṭa. A person who touches the ocean and fasts for three nights at that spot obtains the fruit of donating a thousand cows and saves their family (kula).
