महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-71

ततो गयां समासाद्य ब्रह्मचारी जितेन्द्रियः ।
अश्वमेधमवाप्नोति गमनादेव भारत ॥७१॥
71. tato gayāṁ samāsādya brahmacārī jitendriyaḥ ,
aśvamedhamavāpnoti gamanādeva bhārata.
71. tataḥ gayām samāsādya brahmacārī jitendriyaḥ
aśvamedham avāpnoti gamanāt eva bhārata
71. bhārata tataḥ brahmacārī jitendriyaḥ gayām
samāsādya gamanāt eva aśvamedham avāpnoti
71. Then, O Bhārata, a celibate person (brahmacārī) who has mastered their senses, simply by going to Gayā, obtains the fruit of the Aśvamedha (Vedic ritual).
