महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-42

अथ वेदीं समासाद्य नरः परमदुर्गमाम् ।
अश्वमेधमवाप्नोति गच्छेच्चौशनसीं गतिम् ॥४२॥
42. atha vedīṁ samāsādya naraḥ paramadurgamām ,
aśvamedhamavāpnoti gaccheccauśanasīṁ gatim.

aśvamedham avāpnoti gacchet ca auśanasīm gatim

42. Then, a person having reached the extremely difficult to access altar, attains the fruit of the horse (Vedic ritual) and goes to the state of Uśanas (Śukra).
