महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-1, verse-82

समवाये ततो राज्ञां कन्यां भर्तृस्वयंवराम् ।
प्राप्तवानर्जुनः कृष्णां कृत्वा कर्म सुदुष्करम् ॥८२॥
82. samavāye tato rājñāṁ kanyāṁ bhartṛsvayaṁvarām ,
prāptavānarjunaḥ kṛṣṇāṁ kṛtvā karma suduṣkaram.

prāptavān arjunaḥ kṛṣṇām kṛtvā karma suduṣkaram
82. Then, in the assembly of kings, Arjuna performed an extremely difficult deed and obtained Krishna (Draupadi), who was to choose her own husband (in a svayaṃvara).
