महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-1, verse-159

तमसा त्वभ्यवस्तीर्णो मोह आविशतीव माम् ।
संज्ञां नोपलभे सूत मनो विह्वलतीव मे ॥१५९॥
159. tamasā tvabhyavastīrṇo moha āviśatīva mām ,
saṁjñāṁ nopalabhe sūta mano vihvalatīva me.
159. tamasā tu abhyavastīrṇaḥ mohaḥ āviśati iva mām |
saṃjñām na upalabhe sūta manaḥ vihvalati iva me
159. Indeed, overwhelmed by darkness, delusion seems to enter me, O Sūta (Sañjaya). I do not perceive my senses, and my mind seems to falter.
