यदाश्रौषं ब्रह्मशिरोऽर्जुनेन मुक्तं स्वस्तीत्यस्त्रमस्त्रेण शान्तम् ।

155. When I heard, O Saṃjaya, that the Brahmāśira weapon released by Arjuna was pacified by (Arjuna's) weapon with the words 'for welfare!', and that the jewel from his head was given by Aśvatthāmā, then I no longer hoped for victory.
