महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-1, verse-187

विधातृविहितं मार्गं न कश्चिदतिवर्तते ।
कालमूलमिदं सर्वं भावाभावौ सुखासुखे ॥१८७॥
187. vidhātṛvihitaṁ mārgaṁ na kaścidativartate ,
kālamūlamidaṁ sarvaṁ bhāvābhāvau sukhāsukhe.
187. vidhātṛvihitam mārgam na kaścit ativartate
kālamūlam idam sarvam bhāva abhāvau sukha asukhe
187. No one can transgress the path ordained by the Creator. Everything, including existence and non-existence, happiness and sorrow, has time as its root.
