महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-59, verse-88

वैशालाक्षमिति प्रोक्तं तदिन्द्रः प्रत्यपद्यत ।
दशाध्यायसहस्राणि सुब्रह्मण्यो महातपाः ॥८८॥
88. vaiśālākṣamiti proktaṁ tadindraḥ pratyapadyata ,
daśādhyāyasahasrāṇi subrahmaṇyo mahātapāḥ.

daśa adhyāyashasrāṇi subrahmaṇyaḥ mahātapāḥ

88. That treatise, thus declared as Vaiśālākṣa and comprising ten thousand chapters, was then received by Indra (Indra), who was a great ascetic (tapas) and well-disposed towards Brahmins (Subrahmaṇya).
