Then, the divine Lord Shankara (Śaṅkara), who has many forms (bahurūpa), broad eyes (viśālākṣa), and is known as Shiva (Śiva), the Immovable (Sthāṇu), and the husband of Uma (Umāpati), first adopted that guideline (nīti).
