महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-59, verse-57

अलब्धलिप्सा लब्धस्य तथैव च विवर्धनम् ।
प्रदानं च विवृद्धस्य पात्रेभ्यो विधिवत्तथा ॥५७॥
57. alabdhalipsā labdhasya tathaiva ca vivardhanam ,
pradānaṁ ca vivṛddhasya pātrebhyo vidhivattathā.
