वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-47, verse-9

स शैलजीमूतनिकाश रूपैर्मांसाशनैः पावकदीप्तनेत्रैः ।
बभौ वृतो राक्षसराजमुख्यैर्भूतैर्वृतो रुद्र इवामरेशः ॥९॥

9. That chief of the demon kings (Rākṣasarāja), surrounded by other principal demons whose forms were like mountains and clouds, who consumed flesh, and whose eyes blazed like fire, appeared splendid. He was like Rudra, the lord of immortals, when surrounded by his hosts of spirits (bhūtas).
