ततो महात्मा स धनुर्धनुष्मानादाय रामः सहरा जगाम ।
तं लक्ष्मणः प्राञ्जलिरभ्युपेत्य उवाच वाक्यं परमार्थयुक्तम् ॥४४॥
44. tato mahātmā sa dhanurdhanuṣmānādāya rāmaḥ saharā jagāma ,
taṃ lakṣmaṇaḥ prāñjalirabhyupetya uvāca vākyaṃ paramārthayuktam.

44. Then that great-souled Rāma, the skilled archer, taking his bow, proceeded with his charioteer. Lakṣmaṇa, approaching him with folded hands, spoke words filled with profound meaning.
