तस्मिन्प्रवृद्धोत्तमसानुवृक्षे शृङ्गे विकीर्णे पतिते पृथिव्याम् ।
महाहिकल्पं शरमन्तकाभं समाददे राक्षसलोकनाथः ॥३६॥

36. When that mountain peak, with its excellent trees grown on its slopes, lay shattered and fallen to the earth, the lord of the rākṣasa people (Rāvaṇa) took up an arrow resembling a great serpent and appearing like Antaka (the god of death).
