गत्वा तु रक्षोऽधिपतेः शशंसुः सेनापतिं पावकसूनुशस्तम् ।
तच्चापि तेषां वचनं निशम्य रक्षोऽधिपः क्रोधवशं जगाम ॥२॥

2. gatvā tu rakṣo'dhipateḥ śaśaṃsuḥ senāpatiṃ pāvakasūnuśastam ,
taccāpi teṣāṃ vacanaṃ niśamya rakṣo'dhipaḥ krodhavaśaṃ jagāma.

Having gone there, they reported to the lord of the rākṣasas that his commander had been slain by the son of fire (Hanuman). And upon hearing their words, the lord of the rākṣasas became overwhelmed by anger.
