वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-47, verse-87

पितृमाहात्म्य संयोगादात्मनश्चापि तेजसा ।
जानुभ्यामपतद्भूमौ न च प्राणैर्व्ययुज्यत ॥८७॥
87. pitṛmāhātmya saṃyogādātmanaścāpi tejasā ,
jānubhyāmapatadbhūmau na ca prāṇairvyayujyata.

87. Due to the combination of his father's greatness and also his own brilliance (tejas), he fell to the ground on his knees, but he was not deprived of his life (prāṇa).
