He whose rays are like the felloe of a wheel (gabhastinemiḥ), who abides in truth and goodness (sattvasthaḥ), and who is a lion (siṃhaḥ) (in might). He is the great lord of all beings (bhūtamaheśvaraḥ). He is the primordial deity (ādidevaḥ), the great deity (mahādevaḥ), and the lord of the gods (deveśaḥ). He is the sustainer of the gods (devabhṛt) and their preceptor (guruḥ).
