महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-29, verse-47

विधवा यस्य विषये नानाथाः काश्चनाभवन् ।
सर्वस्यासीत्पितृसमो रामो राज्यं यदान्वशात् ॥४७॥
47. vidhavā yasya viṣaye nānāthāḥ kāścanābhavan ,
sarvasyāsītpitṛsamo rāmo rājyaṁ yadānvaśāt.

sarvasya āsīt pitṛsamaḥ rāmaḥ rājyam yadā anvaśāt
47. yadā rāmaḥ rājyam anvaśāt,
yasya viṣaye kāścana anāthāḥ vidhavāḥ na abhavan.
rāmaḥ sarvasya pitṛsamaḥ āsīt.
47. When Rama ruled the kingdom, there were no widows in his realm who were without a protector. He was like a father to everyone.
