महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-29, verse-138

सृञ्जय उवाच ।
शृणोमि ते नारद वाचमेतां विचित्रार्थां स्रजमिव पुण्यगन्धाम् ।
राजर्षीणां पुण्यकृतां महात्मनां कीर्त्या युक्तां शोकनिर्णाशनार्थम् ॥१३८॥
138. sṛñjaya uvāca ,
śṛṇomi te nārada vācametāṁ; vicitrārthāṁ srajamiva puṇyagandhām ,
rājarṣīṇāṁ puṇyakṛtāṁ mahātmanāṁ; kīrtyā yuktāṁ śokanirṇāśanārtham.
138. sṛñjaya uvāca śṛṇomi te nārada vācam
etām vicitrārthām srajam iva puṇyagandhām
rājarṣīṇām puṇyakṛtām mahātmanām
kīrtyā yuktām śokanirṇāśanārtham

138. Sṛñjaya said: 'O Nārada, I listen to this speech of yours, which has wonderful meanings, is like a garland with a sacred fragrance, and is imbued with the renown of virtuous great-souled royal sages, all for the purpose of alleviating sorrow.'
