महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-29, verse-122

सगरं च महात्मानं मृतं शुश्रुम सृञ्जय ।
ऐक्ष्वाकं पुरुषव्याघ्रमतिमानुषविक्रमम् ॥१२२॥
122. sagaraṁ ca mahātmānaṁ mṛtaṁ śuśruma sṛñjaya ,
aikṣvākaṁ puruṣavyāghramatimānuṣavikramam.

122. O Sṛñjaya, we have heard that the great-souled Sagara, a descendant of Ikṣvāku, who was a tiger among men and possessed superhuman prowess, also died.
